Asia Pacific (AP)

Syniverse opened a new development center in Nanjing, China, in November with a media launch event featuring Syniverse CEO Jeff Gordon and AP SVP and Managing Director Windy Zou Kohl, as well as distinguished attendees including Nanjing Vice Mayor Zheng Zeguang and top-tier business media such as China Business, CNET News, Global Times and Sohu. With AP development centers located in India, Malaysia and now China, Syniverse continues to focus on innovation and developing solutions targeted to the unique needs of mobile service providers in this critical region. The company recently announced several new AP contracts, including NTT DOCOMO for Wi-Fi clearing, Vodafone India and China social network Renren for messaging services, and SmarTone for LTE roaming solutions IPX and Diameter signaling.

Caribbean & Latin America (CALA)

Bringing the unique perspective of a mobile expert that also serves as a strategic consultant, Syniverse has seen significant demand in CALA for its range of professional services, which help mobile service providers find new ways to grow their businesses. For example, GAIN Roaming Business Management Services have helped Telefónica significantly speed roaming time to market for 11 of its CALA properties. Other operators in the region also are turning to Syniverse’s technical acumen and deep knowledge of business processes to help increase operational efficiencies and find new revenue streams.

Europe

In an evolving market with increased demand for new types of mobile serv­ices, Syniverse is working directly with Europe’s top mobile players to find new ways to help them grow their businesses. With Syniverse’s position at the center of the mobile ecosystem, we bring value by delivering advanced capabilities that help our customers ensure superior end-user experiences via our Real-Time Intelligence platform. Additionally, the changing regulatory landscape offers an opportunity to help Europe’s mobile service providers comply with the new proposed EU requirements. Syniverse’s LTE expertise also is becoming increasingly valuable to Europe’s mobile operators as they advance their LTE strategies.

Middle East & Africa (MEA)

The MEA team has been meeting with the region’s mobile service providers to help identify new ways to improve end-user experiences via Syniverse’s solutions, such as Advance Node Messaging, Wi-Fi Talk & Text (WiTT) and Real-Time Intelligence. Moreover, MEA’s mobile service providers are seeing the value in Syniverse’s wide breadth of mobile expertise, with three major operators signing deals for Syniverse solution sets that span the Roaming, Messaging and Network lines of business to help deliver exceptional end-user experiences, achieve new operational efficiencies and grow their businesses.

North America (NA)

North American end users cannot get enough data-intensive services, and Syniverse is preparing its customers with solutions such as Hosted Data Optimization that help manage traffic increases while improving end-user experiences. LTE interoperability is another critical element to address this need, and several of the participants in Syniverse’s current LTE roaming trials are based in NA. Syniverse is also helping the region’s mobile service providers ensure quality and security in delivering voice and messaging services, which remain in high demand, via solutions such as Wi-Fi Talk & Text (WiTT) and Wireless Caller ID/Privacy Management Applications.

New Mobile Frontiers

The synergies among diverse types of players within the mobile community are becoming increasingly clear. As MNOs look for new ways to monetize their networks, a variety of enterprises are widely using mobile to connect with their audiences. Identity management is emerging as a critical component for mobile service providers to deliver the seamless, personalized and secure experiences that end users demand, and the key will be leveraging data from MNOs in real time.
